U-14 Cup Quarter Final : Listowel 1 – 4 Dynamos. Our lads produced arguably their best performance of the season thusfar with a well deserved victory over the Premier Division side. An explosive start by Dynamos saw us sail into a two goal lead with an OG and a Danny Burke strike. Andy Rogers made it three with half an hour gone with a thunderbolt from 25 yards and when winger Denis Brosnan fired in the fourth five minutes into the second half, there was no looking back. Listowel to their credit battled hard and with the aid of a very strong wind pulled a goal back near the end as Dynamos now head into the semi finals. Well done to all. Washington Soloman was best for Dynamos.

Our u11s won a close battle today to make it two wins out of 3 so far. It was a great team performance where all players put in a great effort. We had a couple of early chances in the first half with Shayne Stack and Adam Evans coming close, but the deadlock was eventually broken by a great swivel and strike by Adam Evans just before half time.

In the second half Darragh Corridon made it two nil and there were more chances created but the M.E.K. goalkeeper made some great saves to keep the game close. In the last few minutes M.E.K. scored from a goal line scramble, but Dynamos held firm to record a a hard earned but deserved win in the end.

Special mention for Jevon Carey who made a goal saving tackle at the end and Mollie Duggan who was outstanding throughout the whole game and deserved player of the match.

Lastly, thanks to M.E.K. trainers, managers and players for a very sporting game.

Academy : Dynamos Academy continues at the IT College astro turf pitch each and every Friday evening from 6 to 7 pm. Last Friday evening saw the likes of Shay Kelliher, Francis O Brien, Leon O Connor, Ewan and Cathal Morris, Brandon Long, Elliott Maher, Eoghan Ó Dalaigh, Rory Kavanagh and Odhran Foley all impressing. Well done to everybody and many thanks to coaches Chris, Sonny, Leo, Alan, Simon, Murt and Roland for helping out with the coaching. See ye all again this Friday evening Feb 24th.

Academy U-7 and U-8 Perfect weather for soccer greeted our under 7’s and 8’s for the visit of LB Rovers at the IT North Campus Astroturf pitch. We had enough players for two 5-a-side teams at u-8 and one 7-a-side at u-7 so everyone played a full game. At u-8 Saoirse, the birthday girl, captained her team. LB Rovers proved to be tough opposition and good teamwork was needed to make any breakthrough. A great range of skills were on display by both clubs and those to shine for Dynamos were Cillian, Ben, Nick, Saoirse, Ciaran, Rae, Fionn, Sean, Dara and Rory.

U-14 Cup : Dynamos advanced to the Quarter-Final of the Cup with a narrow 5-4 victory over Ballyhar at Cahermoneen last Saturday. In what was a nine goal goalfest Dynamos at times looked very comfortable but allowed a very game Ballyhar side back into the game on no fewer than three occasions. But ultimately, Dynamos were just about the better side with Man-of-the-Match Daniel Burke netting four goals and Sean Horan bagging the fifth. Best for Dynamos on the day was the aforementioned Danny as well as Philip Evans and Andy Rogers in mid-field and Washington Solomon in defence.
U-16 Cup : Dynamos received a walk-over from Iveragh Utd who were unable to field a team and thus the Reds advanced to the next round of the Cup.
Team of the Week : Congrats and well done to Danny Burke for being selected on the Kerry Schoolboys/Girls League team of the Week after netting four goals in Dynamos cup victory last Saturday.
