Dingle Bay Rovers 4 Tralee Dynamos 2

Its tough to pen an article when the disappointment of defeat and the loss of points so badly needed to avoid relegation are the order of the day.

The truth would be that all emotions are replaced by a great sense of pride in the performance of all the squad who lost to Dingle twice already this season 10-1 and 9-2. The mental strength of the squad to get themselves into a position with 4 minutes to go losing 3-2 with a great chance to equalise that unfortunately went into the side netting.

Dingle reacted and responded straight away with the very next attack to score the insurance goal much to the devastation of the entire squad and a great vocal Dynamos squad who encouraged the team to great heights.

The half time score was 1-0 to Dingle which on the balance of play was probably just right even though Dynamos would be very disappointed not to get 1 or 2 penalties.

Dynamos went into the second with belief that a result was possible but suffered two hammer blows with both goals lending more to inexperience rather than great quality.

What Jonathan Burrows & Oliver Coffey has given to this young side can only be described as immense belief in their ability and the shirt with a half dozen players preparing for tomorrow night’s Under 17 semi final against Rattoo Rovers at the KDL at 7pm.

With 15 to go trailing 3-0 when all seemed lost Oliver coffey got on the ball 35 yards on goal and with opponents dropping off he hit what only can be described as a meteoric strike that rattled the Dingle net with power. 3-1 with time left was it possible??

Mounthawk were treated to some fantastic gallic flair all throughout the game from our adopted French son Simon Lorne who tormented the Dingle backline with Shane Lowth all through the game. Most memorable in the game for Simon was his movement inside the box going past 5 defenders getting his shot on target only for the keeper to save. Simon would not be undone inside the last 10 minutes he linked up with Shane Lowth to finish to the net to give Dynamos another goal and reduce the deficit to 3-2.

As mentioned earlier Dynamos were urged on by the outstanding support and created another great chance with 4 minutes left on the clock with great combination play from Codi Dauti who setup Adi Cenali who got himself into a 1 v 1 situation only to see his effort hit the side netting unknowingly at the time that was our last chance to get points.

Dingle with quality all over the park with Paudie Quinn, Brian Murphy, Adam O’Rourke, Joe Sheehy, Luke Burgess could go on and on put the game to bed clinically with the very next attack again we will be disappointed with the long range effort hitting the net despite the keeper getting a full hand on the ball.

Dynamos with games left against both Killarney sides have to find a performance that will yield points to avoid relegation on the back of today’s performance their is still belief that this is still possible.

Squad: Dylan O’Shea, Shar Chaudhry, Jonathan Burrows, Nemanja Samardzic, Tony Duggan (Codi Dauti), Joe Tobin, Oliver Coffey, Ivan Kolarevic (Adi Cenali), Simon Lorne (Tennyson Efegbare) Shane Lowth, Kevin Willams, Maciek Morawski, Thomas Murphy, Derek O’Shea, Tristan Raymond.
